E690 marine steel plate was selected as the object of the study. The combined arc and laser forging welding method was used to study the distribution characteristics of transverse defects in marine steel composites. The study used the ultrasonic phased array method to study defects. A comparative analysis of cross-sectional defects in combined arc and laser welding and those produced using EDM wire cutting equipment was carried out. The article considers the problem of forming a portfolio of production orders of an enterprise when it is necessary to make effective decisions on putting specific products into production. This problem is successfully solved by calculating the labor intensity of manufacturing the corresponding parts at the stage of design preparation of production. The authors use an automated system for calculating the manufacturing time of body parts on multi-purpose machines in small-scale production.
