The paper determines the transfer function of a ferro-powder brake for studying it in dynamic mode for coupling with other elements of the control system. The results of experimental studies with numerical and graphical results for practical use in production are presented.

The article proposes a mechanism for the formation of micro-irregularities, presents an analytical relationship between the roughness value and the geometric parameters of the tool and the axial feed of the tool per revolution, and also conducts an experiment confirming the obtained analytical dependencies.

The analysis of the causes leading to excessive geometric deviations of the shells of coiled tanks and a decrease in their reliability and durability is given. Measures have been developed aimed at improving the quality of tank construction, including by changing the technology of winding coiled panels onto the frame, improving the technology of their welding, as well as applying modern technology for assembling and welding panels during tank installation.
