Mitrofanov V. M., Volosov N. A. — Investigation of the influence of the shape of magnetic tips on the parameters of the external magnetic field in electroslag strip cladding under ceramic flux
The principle of operation of magnetic systems used for magnetic control of the weld pool in electroslag strip cladding under flux is described. The influence of the shape of the magnetic tip on the generated external magnetic field is investigated. The results of magnetic induction measurements in the working position are presented, and the most optimal shapes of magnetic tips are determined.

Ershov A. V., Ershov A. A. — A new method for reducing the chemical activity of welding fluxes used for welding (surfacing) of NPP power equipment
A new method for reducing the chemical activity of siliceous fluxes is proposed. The obtained method reduces the oxidation of the main alloying elements in the deposited metal, such as chromium, manganese, niobium, and increases the ferrite phase content in the anti-corrosion coating.

The work is devoted to the study of the features of the formation of Nb-Cu intermediate layers in combined titanium-steel structures obtained by electron beam additive manufacturing. The influence of titanium concentration in niobium on the intergranular penetration of copper is investigated. Metallographic studies of the cladded layers are carried out.

Burlaka V. V., Gulakov S. V., Golovin A. Yu. — Evaluation of the parameters of inverter power sources for manual arc welding
The article presents the results of evaluating the parameters of welding inverters for MMA welding: three of industrial production and one developed by the authors. In the course of the research, the volt-ampere characteristics of the sources are determined, and their comparative characteristics are obtained: maximum welding current, power factor, current consumed from the mains at an arc current of 100 A. The reasons for the low power factor of the studied industrial sources are shown.

Petrov S. Yu., Orlov S. E. — Development of a new technology for flash-butt welding of rails with profiling of the ends
A new method of flash-butt welding of rails using profiling of their ends in the form of a grid is proposed. To substantiate the use of profiling, numerical and experimental studies were carried out, which confirmed a high set of mechanical properties of welded joints and the possibility of using it for welding rails in field conditions during the construction of high-speed highways.
