The prospects of using low-carbon medium-manganese surfacing materials in industry are shown. The possibility of increasing the wear resistance of metal deposited by them of various compositions by obtaining a multiphase structure, in which, along with other constituents, metastable austenite is present, has been established. This ensures the implementation of dynamic deformation martensitic transformation under loading (self-quenching effect under loading). Keywords: deposited metal, multiphase structure, martensite, secondary metastable austenite, self-quenching effect
