The review article considers light-beam methods of hole shaping in polymer composite materials, such as carbon fiber reinforced plastics and glass fiber reinforced plastics. The technological features of the main and alternative methods of processing polymer composite materials are considered using the example of the most common and industry-demanded technological operation — hole shaping. Keywords: laser, shaping, perforation, hole, tool, drilling, polymer composite material, carbon fiber reinforced plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastic, cutting, defect, burn-through, light-beam method

UDC 621.8 DOI: 10.34641/TM.2024.266.8.051 Antonov A. A., Kokoreva O. G. — Modeling of the deformed state of a splined shaft
Mathematical modeling of the stress of a deformed splined shaft is presented. The variational method for solving the problem of elastic deformation of the shaft taking into account force loading is considered. The components of deformation (elastic displacements and stresses) at various points of the splined shaft are determined using classical expressions for the strain and stress tensors. A mathematical assessment of the stresses of the gear transmission is carried out, taking into account various variants of force loading. Keywords: mathematical modeling, stress-strain state, elastic displacements and stresses, splined shaft, gear transmission, strain and stress tensor, potential energy, force loading

A new technology for diffusion chromizing of the surface layer of 12KhN3A steel has been developed and proposed for implementation, which allows significantly reducing the duration of high-temperature exposure and energy consumption through the use of micro-arc action as a heating source. The recommended modes of micro-arc action are presented, which allow obtaining a rational combination of microhardness and wear resistance during diffusion saturation of 12KhN3A steel with chromium. Keywords: surface layer, 12KhN3A steel, chromium, micro-arc action, diffusion chromizing, microhardness, wear resistance

This paper considers the process of induction brazing of road machine cutters with various solders having different forms of application. The microstructure of brazed joints for two classes of solders — copper-manganese and copper-zinc — is investigated; differences in the formation of a diffusion zone in the hard alloy, accompanied by a decrease in cobalt content, are found. The influence of solder forms on the quality of brazed seams is studied. Keywords: induction brazing, brazing of road cutters, import substitution, diffusion zone, solder form

The article considers the issues of confirming compliance with the regulatory requirements for the fracture toughness of welded pipes of main pipelines. The results of laboratory tests for CTOD crack resistance of standard Type 3 and Type 4 specimens according to GOST 25.506-85 made of 09G2S steel grade, obtained using a universal testing machine LFMZ-100 Walter + BaiAG, are presented.
