Khalimov A. A., Khudyakov D. S., Faizov I. F. — Estimated tolerable parameters of the diffused hard and soft interlayers in heterogeneous welds

It is shown that formation of areas with different strength properties is possible in heterogeneous tubing connections from low-carbon steels Ст3, 20, 20K, 22K, 12X2M1, etc. to high-alloy corrosive steels 08X13, 08X16H10T at conducting welding operations and further continuous service. Calculated dependencies of the estimated tolerable geometric and mechanical parameters of the diffused hard and soft interlayers are shown, which ensure necessary working capacity and operation safety of the heterogeneous welds.

The technology is available on the new MasterTIG MLS™ 3000/3003 ACDC welding apparatus, which does for welding low-carbon and corrosion-resistant steel, as well as aluminium.
