Labur T. M., Zhernosekov A. M., Yavorskaya M. R., Pashulya M. P. Pulsed metal-arc welding of aluminium alloys with adjustable pulse shape

Results of manufacturing capability research of pulsed metal-arc welding of aluminium alloys with pulse shape control are described. Mechanical properties of butt joints of such aluminium alloys as 6, 5, 16 and 1915 are determined. It is established that the designed high-functional welding equipment with welding current pulse shape control may be efficiently used to weld aluminium alloys of different alloying systems.

Semenov V. N. Model of physicochemical interaction between alloy 202 and copper-silver brazing alloy, and bond strength on the interface

An interaction pattern of the NiCr-based compound alloy and copper-silver solder is worked-out. The pattern allows for estimating selective affinity of separate alloy components, Ni in particular, with components of solder on atomic level.

Ostsemin A. A., Shmatkov A. S. Strength of welded joints with asymmetric mechanical inhomogeneity at static loading

Research results of the stressed state with an asymmetric mechanical inhomogeneity of the welded joint at static loading are covered. Computational formulae of stress tensor of mean ultimate stress on contact surfaces are obtained, which conform well to experimental data.

Bulkov A. B., Peshkov V. V., Balbekov D. N., Nebolsin S. M., Maltsev G. V. Diffusion welding of titanium feedstock through interlayer with high resistance to deformation

Deformation progress research results of the titanium laminar interlayers, which are between rough workpieces from an alloy with globular (equiaxial fine-grained) structure, under conditions of diffusion welding are described. It is shown that when thickness ratio of a laminar workpiece reduces, its creep rate steps up; conditionally termed as softening. Expressions to estimate softening coefficients of workpieces with lamellar structure depending on their thickness ratio and applied pressure are obtained.

Rudzey G. F. Effect of welding defects and of the repair pass number on fatigue resistance of aluminium welds

Research results of different welding defects influence on fatigue resistance of welded joints are covered, which allow standardizing defects taking into account strength characteristics.

Komkov V. G. Electrode materials for electrospark alloying of machine components

Obtainment conditions of such alloys as tungsten and chromium, tungsten and molybdenum by thermal reduction methods of scheelite concentrate with additions of oxides of alloying elements are studied. Charge makeup is established to ensure maximum extraction into alloy. Application of the alloys WCr, WCrMo for electrospark surface hardening of the machine components improves 1,52 times their wear resistance.

Volkov S. S. Effect of the ultrasonic seam welding conditions of polymer films on seam formation and process flow

A procedure of ultrasonic welding of film materials is developed. It is shown that characteristic determining production rate of the ultrasonic seam welding of the polymer slivers are amplitude of oscillation, welding pressure, welding rate and the length of the coupling butt end along the direction of welding. It is established that as the contact spot length extends seam welding rate increases linearly.
