Saraev Yu. N., Chinakhov D. A., Ilyashchenko D. P., Kiselev A. S., Gordynets A. S. — Study the melting stability and transfer of electrode metal from the power sources with different dynamic characteristics during arc welding by using a consumable electrode

The results of studies on the impact of the dynamic characteristics of power supplies on the melting stability and electrode metal transfer to the weld pool during arc welding consumable electrode.
It is shown that the application of a new generation of welding power sources of the inverter type, change characteristics of heat and mass, which has a decisive importance on the heat content of the weld pool, and reducing the level of residual stress in the heat affected zone (HAZ), and justifies the tendency to reduce the structural components of the size in area permanent connection.

Sholokhov М. А., Erofeev V. А., Poloskov S. I. — The dependence of the welded joint mechanical properties of high strength steel for a narrow gap on the steel chemical composition of the electrode wire

Due to high tolerances specified for the content of alloying elements, the initial chemical composition of main metal and electrode wire is one of the reasons of instability of weld seams mechanical characteristics. Under analysis using interpolational models we define the variation dependence of weld seam mechanical characteristics from cooldown durability in temperature-inversion interval from 850 to 500 °С [from 1562 to 932F]. We specify that the initial instability of weld seam chemical composition has the most significant influence on its impact strength under cooling within less than 5 sec. Instability of weld seam mechanical characteristics, determined by variability of main metal and electrode wire chemical composition even under optimum welding mode is determined with tolerances from 8 to 15 %.

Erofeev V. A., Pyankov I. B. — Physical and mathematical model of the contact projection welding of cross-shaped joints

Contact projection welding is widely used in the manufacture of various constructions. When designing the technology has a problem determining the process parameters because of the variety of forms of welded joints. To determine the welding parameters for which are provided with quality requirements of the wire, it is necessary to use the methods of computer analysis, based on the physical and mathematical modeling. The basis of this process model is a welding system of electric potential equations of heat conduction and plastic deformation, as well as relations between the properties of the metal with its thermodynamic state. A feature of the model is the need to describe the geometry of the weld joint and changes its form during welding. To this end, the current structure of the weld zone is displayed as a change of properties of heterogeneous modeling space points in accordance with the plastic deformation of the metal. This approach is considered by the example of the process of projection welding of cross-shaped joints. The results showed the acceptability of the developed simulation techniques for the analysis of various compounds projection welding process.

Novosadov V. S. — The contribution evaluation of the fillet and the technology feature on the mechanical properties of soldered joints

A systemic analysis of factors determining the contribution of the fillet in the mechanical properties of solder joints is fulfiled. A model permiting to evaluate the contribution of fillets at a tensile test is given. On the joining mechanical properties render influence: a geometrical factor α determined by the ratio of the destruction area S1 (fillet) and S2 (seam) = α = S1/S2; structural and technological factors determining the chemical composition of the seam fillets, as well as their size and structure. Depending on the mechanical properties of the seam and the fillet metal and geometrical factor α the fillet contribution may be 10...70 %. When soldering of the heat exchangers for α = 0,5...0,8 the fillets contribution to the mechanical properties form less than 10 % and technology features render a significant influence.

Kravchenko I. N., Kolomeychenko A. V., Baranov Yu. N., Puzpyakov A. A., Colovev R. Yu., Pupavtsev I. E. — The determination model of residual stresses in plasma coatings

The main reasons of residual (internal tensile) stresses, at the application of gas thermal methods of coating depositions, are the sufficient diversity of temperatures of the particles of sprayed material and substrate surface, the specific volumes of the sprayed material particles at the time of their getting onto the substrate and the particles in the cooled state, well as uneven distribution of temperatures on coating section. Based on the theory of hereditary elasticity the mathematical model of theoretical justification of the formation and redistribution process of residual stresses, taking into account the relationship between stress and deformation in the contact zone "coating-base" when heated, and change their mechanical properties is developed. The analytical dependences for the management of such technological parameters as time and heating temperature are proposed.

Matyushkin B. А., Denisov V. I., Tolkachev А. А. — Technological features of electric arc metallized coating in APC branch

The article shows the essence of the process of electric arc metallization, its advantages and disadvantages. It is established that with the help of metallization it is possible to obtain a combined coating with pseudoplanes structure, which have several important properties: the combination of high values of melting temperature, hardness, damping capacity, wear resistance. We propose an innovative method of electric arc metallization (EDM) on the basis of the principle of modeling the process by changing the concentration of components in a mixture by using two spray guns. It is established that the formation of a strong connection between the particles of applied metal and the substrate is carried out under the action of heat and kinetic energies of the particles. It is shown that the use of two spray guns at supersonic expiration of air allows increasing the hardness and density of the applied layer, adhesive-cohesive strength and durability.
