A special purpose tool for T-joint friction welding is developed. This tool allows for obtaining T-sections with blending surfaces of the tee flange and rib.

Software-based purpose-oriented method of temperature field support in the weld zone is suggested. The method is based on the process technology analysis of electron-beam braze-welding steel sheets as of 2—6 mm thick and refractory metals, providing decrease of intermetallids formation probability.

In the given work the short review of application of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in welding manufacture is presented. Ways of connection of materials with special characteristics are considered; use of nanopowders in welding by fusion, drawing of blankets, struggle against concentrators of pressure (defects); nanolayer films and foils at welding by pressure.

Pervukhina O. L., Saykov I. V., Pervukhin L. B., Chayadarov F. B. — Deformative and thermodynamic processes at titanium explosive cladding of cylinders

Titanium deformation structural features at high speed swaging of a titanium tube are considered. Thermodynamic conditions of titanium explosion welding are covered. It is shown that in order to obtain cylinder qualitative cladding by titanium it is necessary to eliminate conditions for localization occurrence of the heat-related changes and for titanium transition into plastic state at conducting the process in the shielding gas. Lengthy current conductors from copper + titanium over 30 diameters long are obtained.

Volkov S. S. — Ultrasonic cutting and simultaneous welding of plastic articles

A method of ultrasonic cutting and simultaneous welding of plastic articles is considered. Polymeric materials basic cutting techniques are determined. Filter-set making capability by spin-method of ultrasonic cutting and simultaneous welding is established.
