Lenivkin V. A., Kiselev D. V., Parshin S. G. — Non-uniformity of fusion of an electrode with supercritical current in argon
Character of non-uniformity of fusion of an electrode wire is revealed at automatic welding in the protective environment of argon on speeds of its giving corresponding after critical currents. On the basis of research of character of change of electric parametres of process of welding under oscillograms of a current and pressure of an arch, character of formation and transfer of electrode metal droplets on video shots of a high-speed video shooting, by calculation of thermal capacity on the experimental data, spent for electrode fusion, it is established that at constant speed of giving of an electrode speed of its fusion changes. Non-uniformity of fusion of an electrode is connected with change of a condition of a heat transfer from an anode stain of an arch to metal of an electrode and power influence of an arch on the fused metal which is on an electrode.

Mathematical model of formation of crater that arises at the completion of arc surfacing of metal because of volume shrinkage is offered. The model makes it possible to calculate the shape of crater by evolution of temperature field in time.

Research results of welded joints titanium — titanium and titanium — steel 12X18H10T which were obtained by laser welding are given. It is established that in process of welding of specimens from titanium alloy ВТ1-0, at cooling from high-temperature β-area, the weld metal structure has two typical morphological signs: polyhedral coarse grains of "modified" β-phase and laminated type of intragrained structure of α-phase. Fracture of material is on basic metal, and has ductile type. Formation of intermediate layer takes place from the side of titanium alloy on the basis of intermetallic phases of 100—150 mkm in thickness at welding of titanium alloy with austenitic corrosion-resistant steel through copper interlayer.

It is established that application of distributed source forming by automated complex at electron-beam welding exerts a positive influence on the structure and corrosion resistance of welded joints zirconium alloy containing 2,5 % of niobium.

As a result of processing of data on high-speed registration of plasma-heated Al2O3, Ti and Mo particles’ tracks local and cross-section mean values of their velocity and temperature, as well as these particles velocity change along the plasma jet axis dependent on different process variables of experimental plasmatron are determined. The process-dependent parameters allow for selecting optimum sputtering condition, at which fused particles collide with the substrate surface and velocity fields and temperatures of the particles are homogeneous.

The new technological process of gas-shielded arc welding with alternate intermittent supply of dissimilar gases — argon and helium as well as welding technologies on the basis of this process are developed. It is shown that improvement of mechanical properties, accuracy, airtightness of welded joints, absence of defects, and decrease of volume of postwelding work are ensured because of combination of advantages of argon-arc and helium-arc welding in the new process. Different physical effects which accompany this process and make it possible to obtain weld metal with equiaxial fine-grained structure are revealed.

Starostin N. P., Vasilyeva M. A., Danzanova Ye. V., Ammosova O. A. — Butt-seam welding of polyethylene tubes under conditions of low temperatures
It is suggested to preheat welded ends of the pipes by a heating device aimed at voltage reduction at polyethylene tube butt welding gas pipelines conducted at ambient temperature below the standard one. Based on the estimation of non-stationary temperature field in the tube wall, a procedure of determining temperature distribution similar to homogeneous in the welding-permissible range is offered.
