Dyurguerov N. G., Solovyanyuk L. A. —– Self-regulation and short-arc welding process control

Short-arc welding process is described by the instrumentality of similarity theory. Dimensionless similarity parameters are defined. Their invariance is shown. Special features of integral self-regulation are covered. Numerical value of one of the dimensionless similarity parameters is used as a condition for process stability.

Ostcemin A. A. — Welded strength with Х-shaped grooving and asymmetrical mechanical inhomogeneity

On the basis of the plasticity theory problem-solving procedure a static capacity estimation of the plate joints with Х-shaped grooving and less tough seam as compared to base material is carried out. Stressed state of the asymmetrical mechanically inhomogeneous butt joints is studied. A possibility of determining optimal geometry of weld metal and poor penetration is shown.

Kochetkov A. V., Yankovsky L. V., Stepanov M. V. — Development of welding practices of volume geotechnical reinforcement

Technological advancement issues of welding production of the volume geotechnical reinforcement are considered. A technique of manufacturing reinforcement from polymeric strips is developed, which includes joining of strip stack by series of jointing welds and allows to improve bearing resistance of the reinforcing soil taking into consideration soil features and construction type. This also makes it possible to reduce the risk of non-achievement of the required life span of the construction.

Medvedev A. Yu., Bychkov V. M., Selivanov A. S., Pavlinich S. P., Dautov S. Kh., Supov A. V. — Application of seam friction welding to join alloys BT6 and BT8-1

Weldability analysis results of the alloys BT6 and BT8-1 by seam friction welding are presented. It is established that welding at the suggested combination of conditions provides formation of a defectless full-strength joint.

Chigarev V. V., Belik A. G., Gribkov E. P., Gavrish P. A. — Mathematical process model of a sintered tape rolling

A mathematical model of the metal deflected mode is developed for the rolling process of a dust core in different metal sheathing. The model takes into account influence of the metallic sheathing on geometry and energy-power characteristic of the rolling process of sintered electrode strips, as well as physical-mechanical properties of the dust core.

Gavrish S. V., Loguinov V. V., Puchnina S. V. — Production practices of permanent compounding sapphire and metals

Major techniques of compounding sapphire and metals are considered. At present these practices are used when producing discharge lamps. Mechanism of interaction between titanium and sapphire was analyzed. In order to obtain sapphire–metal vacuum compounding a titanium vapour-arc deposition on a lamp bulb and further brazing of a kovar current lead by copper solder is suggested.
