Gnyusov S. F., Makov D. A. — Structure-phase composition and abrasive wear resistance of austenitic composition coatings. Part 1

The article covers research results of the effect of heat treatment on the formation features of structure-phase composition of composition coatings (Fe—20 % Mn—4 % V—4 % Mo) + 15 % WC and (Fe—20 % Ni—4 % V—4 % Mo) + 15 % WC. Efficient aging mode enabling conservation of austenitic structure of matrix and obtainment of multimodal size distribution of carbide phase in the hardened layer volume is established.

BLANK PRODUCTION

Gamanyuk S. B., Rutsky D. V., Zyuban N. A., Konovalov S. S., Shuleshko D. G. — Effect of the shape of ingot bottom-most part on non-metallics’ distribution, chemical inhomogeneity and mechanical properties of obtained forged pieces

The paper presents research results of pollution by non-metallic inclusions, of chemical inhomogeneity and of the level of mechanical properties of forged pieces from ingots of standard geometry of 24,2 ton and from an ingot with concave bottom-most part of 22,5 ton from steel 38ХН3MФA. Reduction of medium-sized oxide, sulphide and oxysulphide inclusions by 6, 2,5 and 1,3 times, respectively was shown up cross section and along the height of the sample ingot as a result of intensive crystallization front advance in the vertical direction. Strength properties of the products from ingots with concave bottom-most part are 5—10 per cent on the average then from the ingots of standard geometry.

Effect of lubricoolants of various brands on the component of cutting force which determines processing accuracy at turning of titanium alloy ВT3, heat-resistant steel ХН7ТЮР and aluminium alloy Д16 is under consideration. Research results allow to identify the most effective brand of lubricoolant for processing of certain material.

Problems of grinding wheels wear at processing hart-to-machine materials are under consideration in the article. Magnitude of wear is explained, results of wear research are given, as well as high operating characteristic of diamond abrasive tools (that of grinding wheel) with tapered holes on the work surface.
