The influence of heat input during hybrid laser-arc welding of low alloy steel of X52 and X80 gradeswith a thickness from 8 to 12 mm on the mechanical properties of the weld is considered. The optimal ratio of the input energy of the laser beam and the welding arc in the hybrid process has been established. The optimal welding speeds for hybrid laser welding with a pulsed welding arc using a fiber laser with a power of up to 10 kW have been determined.

Dronov E. A., Barakhov V. I. — Determination of the cause of quartz sand shedding during casting of a cast-iron billet of a diesel engine cylinder using X-ray computed tomography

Presented in the article are tomographic research results obtained for distribution of cladding mix components volume fractions in casting mold unit cells in the areas of silica sand sloughing during casting of blank for diesel engine cast-iron cylinder. X-ray computational tomography was used to determine volume fractions of silica sand, phenolics and pores within the area of sand sloughing as well as to identify the main cause of sloughing. Given herein are tomograms obtained for cross-sections of diesel engine cast-iron cylinder blank with defective area occurred where silica sand mixed with cast iron during casting process.

Krivoshapko S. N., Ivanov V. N. — Algebraic surfaces for rational ship hulls

The choice of optimal shape of ship hull surface is one of the main problems of ship architects and designs. A choice of the form is based on empirical formulae or on intuition of designers. In a manuscript, a method of determination of explicit algebraic equations of theoretical shape of ship hull with three main cross-sections given in advance and coinciding with the design waterline, the midship section, and with the main buttock line is given. The forms of the lines in the main cross-sections are chosen from conditions taken in advance. These surfaces are called hydrodynamic surfaces. A method is illustrated for three threes of main cross-sections of the ship hulls i.e. nine hydrodynamic surfaces were constructed. All algebraic equations were converted to parametrical forms for comfort of computer modelling.

Fedotov I. V., Suchkov A. N., Ivannikov A. A., Dzhumaev P. S., Chernavskaya E. R., Sevryukov O. N. — Investigation of microstructure and mechanical properties of soldered compounds of silicon carbide ceramics obtained using Ti-Zr-Nb-Be system solder

Soldered compounds of reaction-sintered silicon carbide (SIC.sintered) were obtained using fast-hardened solder Ti-40Zr-8.5Nb-1.5Be (wt. %). The microstructure of soldered joints was studied using scanning electron microscopy and microrentgenospectral analysis. It is shown that the seam mainly consists of a silicon matrix with inclusions of silicon carbide and silicides. A possible mechanism of crystallization of the solder joint during cooling is described. Mechanical tests of soldered joints on the cut and measurement of microhardness were carried out.

Kurbanmagomedov K. D. — Algorithmic and software implementation of the methodology for the study of the phase complex of multicomponent inorganic chemical compounds

The algorithm and methodology for the study of the phase complex of multicomponent inorganic chemical compounds are given and are applicable for the analysis of chemistry with and without complexation for both three-component systems and for quadruple and fivefold systems. A software package has been developed that allows automating the process of analyzing chemistry and ultimately solving the problem of synthesizing a complex chemical compound in the shortest possible time, taking into account the initial requirements. On the basis of the synthesized chemical reactions and the obtained compounds, databases on their thermophysical parameters can be formed, which can be used as reference data, as well as for monitoring the technological process in real time in order to ensure the required properties.

Kulagin A. K., Feofanov A. N., Grishina T. G. — Development of an automated system for selecting the characteristics of the functioning of IT infrastructure technical support

Currently, information systems are used in all spheres of human society. The main criterion for optimal operation of the enterprise information system is full automation. This is especially important when you need to process huge data streams. In this regard, the implementation of automated control systems is extremely necessary. They significantly increase efficiency in all areas of production and improve employee productivity. At the same time, special attention should be paid not only to the creation of a unified information environment, but also to the possibility of assessing the workload and functionality of its individual components. This possibility is provided by the application of the basics of building functional models of subsystems.
