Efimenko N. G., Bartash S. N., Artemova S. V. — The structure and properties of welded joints of large thick-walled structures made from steel 25L performed without heating

The effect of welding without preheating and additional technological operations by using a transverse hill method (THM) on the mechanical properties and structure of welded joints from steel 25L is researched. These properties are compared with the properties after welding with heating and high-temperature tempering. It was found that after welding without any additional operations in the HAZ structure is formed of the upper granular bainite resistant against brittle fracture strength and impact-plastic properties which exceed the requirements of the base metal.

Kuryntsev S. V., Shiganov I. N. — Welding of austenitic steel with copper by using a defocused radiation of the fiber laser

The paper considers the features of laser welding of austenitic steel to pure copper without using any filler material or intermediate material. Were used defocused fiber laser beam, with offset to austenitic steel. According to the selected laser welding modes the welds of dissimilar materials without defects, with comparable strength to the pure copper were made. Tests on the tensile welded joints and measured of microhardness have been conducted. The microstructure of welds and chemical analysis of the transition zone was conducted.

The paper presents the results of investigation of the thermal effectiveness assessment of the process of plasma-jet surfacing by powder materials which provides faster thermal saturation and metal powder particle melting in comparison with solid metal of an item. The regularities of the influence of the process technological parameters on the formation of coating layer on the elements being reconditioned by plasma-jet surfacing are determined on their basis.

Khokhlatova L. B., Kolobnev N. I., Ovchinnikov V. V. — Coupling properties and structure of the sheets from alloys 1424 and V-1461, made by friction welding with intermingling

An influence of friction stir welding (FSW) conditions on the structure and mechanical properties of the welded joint of B-1461 and 1424 alloys have been investigated. During FSW process the recrystallized fine-grained microstructure is formed in the welded joint. It was shown that an increase of heat investment into the sheets to be welded does not lead to an increase of average size of grains in the weld zone (average size of grains 1,5—2,2 μm). In this case the ultimate strength of welded joint depends on welding conditions for both alloys. Parameters of microstructure, formed in the weld zone, its influence on mechanical properties of welded joints and evolution caused by heat treatment after FSW are discussed.

Mikhalchenkov A. M., Lyalyakin V. P., Solovev R. Yu. — Influence of welding methods on the level of residual stresses at the closing up of cracks in body parts made from gray cast iron

It is shown that the level of residual stresses at the cracks in the brewing housing parts are not sufficient for their buckling depends on welding techniques, and their variation is the same for all devices. Job strain weld tensile or shear depending on the variant of welding and heat-affected determines the probability of occurrence of cracks.

Burkov A. A. — Electrospark WC-Co coating with different iron concentration

This paper is devoted to studying the effect of the iron concentration in the WC-Co electrode materials on the structure and properties of coatings deposited on the low-carbon steel by electrospark alloying (ESA). The effect of iron concentration on the character of mass transfer and the thickness of the deposited coatings is shown. The phase composition, surface roughness and wear resistance of coatings at dry and microabrasive friction is studied. Amplification of the tungsten carbide decarbidisation at ESA with iron concentration increasing in the electrode materials is shown.

Tsibulskiy I. A., Klimova O. G., Korsmik R. S., Akhmetov A. D., Kuznetsov M. V. — Influence of the treatment process technological parameters for penetration of copper and iron at the laser deposition of copper-nickel alloy on steel

Deposition of the copper-nickel alloy on steel with the use of high-power fiber laser is carried out. Rolls of various widths and heights are obtained by varying the process technological parameters.
The conducted metallographic studies have shown that areas of no molten steel take place at optimal deposition modes. In areas, where steel was melted, the fusion penetration, the width of the transition zone from steel to copper, the penetration depth of the cracks caused by the effect of Rehbinder and content of the iron phase in the copper layer is less than in other modes.
