Zharikov S. V., Grin’ A. G. — Slag study at surfacing by exothermal flux cored wires

In article describes the structure of slags rutile-carbonate-fluorite system formed by overlay metal type 8Х3ГСВ2Ф. The influence of the exothermic mixture in the core self-protective powder wire on the composition and structure of the slag is investigated. For identification of phase structure the x-ray and mass spectral analysis, metallographic researches was used. In the structure of slag formed by overlay self-protective exothermic powder wire, established the presence of complex compounds and aluminates, the presence of which has an effect on the change of dicalcium silicate, which is good for the separation of slag.

Sidlin Z. A. — Corrosion resistance study of the nickel-iron alloys’ welded joints

The articles covers research results of the influence of chromium which determines corrosion resistance. Its content in the samples of the added metal in ЭK77 alloy was varied within 21,1—28,8 per cent. Optimum ratio of alloying elements (chromium, copper, manganese and silicon) was established. The obtained corrosion resistance data is based for welding electrodes to be updated.

Kazakov Yu. V., Tabakin Ye. M., Ivanovich Yu. V., Miroshnichenko G. V., Kaplin A. V. — Influence of heating conditions on the weld formation at fusion welding of small-sized nuclear engineering produce

The paper considers peculiar effects of small-size items fusion welding on the quality of welded joints. A definition of a "small-size item" is given with the account of the welded joint quality criteria. It is shown that the weldability of small-size items can be improved by limiting thermal effect on the welded zone. The paper presents some engineering developments on the application of the TIG welding and pulsed laser welding to limit the thermal effect on the small-size items.

This article describes use of resistance spot welding for remount of TIG-joint weld defects.
Key words: TIG-welding defects, resistance spot welding, remount

Medvedev A. Yu., Pavlinich S. P. — Tensile test of titanium alloys welds, carried out by seam friction welding

The authors offer a tensile testing technique of the joints obtained by seam friction welding. This technique differs from the ones used previously by the samples’ shape and by the criterion of the estimated results of tests. It is shown that when upset values are small the fracture is brittle. If the upset growth at welding it causes changes in appearance of fracture, area of fracture and stress-strain diagram. Ultimate welded strength in the process increases insignificantly, at the same time expended plastic work of deformation applied to rupture the samples increases by a factor of ten.
Key words: seam friction welding, binary titanium alloy, welded strength, tensile test, weld quality
