Kostin V. А., Grigorenko G. М. — The forming process modeling of the forming multilayer 3D deposition with an additive method using welding sources of heating

The results of the temperature fields modeling, the kinetics of the dissimilar metals deposition and the nature of structural transformations during the formation of an additive multilayer structure from 17G1С и 30ХGС steels are presented. For computer simulation the COMSOL Multiphysics calculation package is used. In the paper the influence of temperature on the steel thermophysical parameters is taken into account. In order to improve the performance of the additive process, we studied the simultaneous effect of 3 arcs on the process of the deposit formation, the structural transformations kinetics and the diffusion processes of redistribution of alloying elements are examined. Calculations show that in order to reduce the stresses level between additive deposit and the back to 50 MPa, the back should be preheated with an arc without material deposition at the beginning of the deposition process. It is shown that the transit time between neighboring arc sources of heat should be maintained in the range from 5 to 30 s. It is established that at low arc power (1 kW) the ferrite-bainite structure predominantly forms in a deposit in which the share of bainite is 71 %, ferrite — 28 %, martensite ∼1 %. When using an arc of greater power (5 kW) in the deposit a bainite-martensitic structure is formed in which the share of bainite is ∼50 %, the share of martensite increases to 40 % and ferrite to 10 %. Increasing the arc power leads to increasing in the maximum temperature of the liquid bath to 1750...1850 °C, to increasing in the cooling rate to 15...25 °C/s and, as a result, to increasing the share of martensite in the structure of the deposited layers. The developed software can be used for mathematical modeling of the metallurgical additive process for forming products from various steels, titanium, aluminum and other alloys.

Tabakin Е. М., Andreev S. А. — Influence of surface tension on the pores formation at the welding of thin-walled structures

The influence of the external pressure acting on the weld pool, arising under the action of surface tension forces at fusion welding of thin-walled structures from aluminum, zirconium and titanium alloys, austenitic corrosion steels is qualified. The thicknesses of the welded products at which there is a significant increase in external pressure are determined.
The time during which the pore grows to a rejection size for different materials and thicknesses, taking into account the effect of surface tension forces, is calculated.

Timofeev М. N., Galyatkin S. N. — Features of the alternating current application at automatic submerged-arc welding of equipment for NPP from heat-resistant steels

A comparative analysis of the welding-technological properties, chemical composition and mechanical properties of the weld metal of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium heat-resistant steel, performed by submerged arc welding, has been carried out. A significant increase in the productivity of welding on alternating current without deterioration of any indicators of the mechanical properties of the weld metal has been established.
The prospects of using sources of welding arc of alternating current at the manufacture of equipment for nuclear reactors in the case of using agglomerated welding flux from the point of view of improving welding performance and resistance characteristics to brittle fracture of the weld metal are shown.

Latypov R. А., Latypova G. R., Bulychev V. V. — The size estimation of seizure site during pressure welding of materials with different physical and mechanical properties

A calculated estimate of the seizure site critical dimensions for the pressure welding case of materials with sharply different physical and mechanical properties is carried out.
It is shown that the size of the active center of a less elastic metal has a predominant effect on the ability to combine metals with sharply different properties. It is noted that heating temperature increasing is the main technological method for increasing the size of the active center. A mathematical model of the stable seizure site formation only under the action of a thermal channel for the joined surfaces activation is proposed.

Bakhmatov P. V., Tishkova Е. Е., Zhukov М. А., Manilenko I. V. — Singlesided single pass welding on ceramic backing bar with preliminary and concurrent heating

In the work, an automatic welding method under the layer of flux of flat sheet structures according to the method described in the patent RU No. 2557041 is implemented.
Welded joints meeting the requirements of normative and design documentation are obtained. It is established that the use of this method allows one-way single-pass automatic welding on traditional two-sided welding rate without edges making. The laboratory test bench for the process realization is developed. A review of existing methods for the prevention and elimination of welding deformations, which showed that the calculation methods for determining stresses and deformations are not effective, is introduced.

Neskoromny S. V., Vinogradov V. G., Ageev S. O., Ctrizhakov E. L. — Features of the tools and equipment creation for magnetic-pulse welding in vacuum

In the article, design surveys for creating tools and automated equipment for magnetic-pulse welding in vacuum (MPWV) are adduced. The location of the working tool in the atmosphere during the processing of heated units in a vacuum is justified based on the analysis of the electromagnetic effect dependences from the distance between the inductor and the welded unit. The remote effect on the connection realizes through a dielectric quartz glass, which is part of the process chamber. This design scheme allows welding of facing joints in vacuum of about 6.6•10–3 Pa with the unit heated to a temperature of about 1400 K without breaking the insulation of the tool. To improve the performance of the MPWV process, a cluster facility with a carousel assembly is created.
This allows you to combine the processes of vacuum, movement, heating and cooling of the welded units. This equipment can be used to obtain composite no detachable connections and pressing-welding powder compositions.
