Gavrish S. V., Loguinov V. V. — Skin materials for the high-pressure discharge lamps: fused silica

Basic properties of the most spread material for the discharge lamps shells, i.e. silica glass, are considered, as well as factors, which determine the quartz radiation-optical stability and its relationship to the lamps’ operative conditions. Major consideration is given to the quartz doping and to light-absorbing covering application onto the bulb as a lamp envelope spectral transmission correction method.

Zyuba N. A., Rootsky D. V., Styazhin A. N., Razorenov A. V., Titov K. Ye. — Chemical inhomogeneity influence on the mechanical properties of ingot forged pieces obtained under different crystallization conditions

Research results of the tail shafts metal are covered; the shafts are obtained from steel 55 ingots of mass 39.5 t. The ingots were cast by new and standard techniques. It is shown that carbon liquation heterogeneity on the ends of the long-measuring forged pieces reduced 1.4–2.0 times on the average in the workpieces obtained by innovative technology as compared to the forged piece manufactured by standard technology.

Stavyshenko A. C. — Surface electrochemical polishing techniques of the components from the corrosion-resistant steels

Physicotechnical surfacing traditional method of the components from ductile materials are covered. A new breakthrough technology of corrosion-resistant steel components’ electrochemical polishing under non-stationary electrolysis conditions is suggested.

Aliokhin S. N., Makhov D. P. — Resonance vibration study of the barrel-type washer underslung part

Research results of the barrel-type washers’ dynamics at barrel deceleration during centrifugal wringing under conditions of discrete change of the system inherent frequency are described. Peak vibratory displacement calculation results of the washer underslung part at discrete change of the springing medium rigidity without dissipation are given.

An analytical expression is obtained for torsional rigidity of the homogeneous bodies of finely laminated structures. Special nomogram are built, which ease analysis of the separate components behavior change in the homogeneous medium and their volume content in wide range.
