Kovtunov A. I., Semistenov D. A., Semistenova T. V. — Composition and properties control of the facing alloys of the iron– aluminium system

The possibility of formation of coatings based on Fe—Al alloys by surfacing of aluminum on steel has been investigated. Computational and experimental method of modes calculation of argon arc surfacing GTAW with aluminum filler wire feed which allows to control the chemical composition and properties of the deposited layers has been proposed. Effect of the surfacing modes on the chemical composition of weld metal and on the operational properties of the deposited layers has been established by experiment.

Velichko A. A., Orlov V. V., Pazilova U. A., Sulyaguin R. V., Khlusova E. I. — Heat-affected area structure and properties optimization of the high-strength pipe steel welded joints

In order to establish ways of adverse effect minimization of the welding cycle we studied influence of the heat input at multiarc flux welding and of welding practices on the structure and properties of the high-strength pipe steel welded joints in the heat-affected area. The analysis of the obtained data allowed to ascertain a processing method which significantly reduced weld microhardness and step-up fraction of ductile fracture of percussion samples.

Boldyrev A. M., Guschin D. A., Grebenchuk V. G. — Interaction between titanium dioxide and the welding bath at machine hidden arc welding of the 10KhSND steel with metal chemical additive

The article presents investigations of interaction between electrochemical additive and a welding bath at machine welding of the 10KhSND steel under a layer of flux AN-47. Introduction of titanium dioxide with metal grainer into the welding bath favours formation of inclusions with high-melting nitride-titanium sheath. This prevents microvoids and crack formation in the weld metal, 20—25 % raises impact toughness of the weld material.

Khodakov V. D., Bazanov M. A., Khodakov D. V., Abrosin A. A., Praliyev D. A. — Making-good procedure of the bimetal welds of conduits DU800 KMPTs RBMK-1000 using one-sided welding

As opposed to the present process we developed a new making-good procedure of the inner side of tubes clad by corrosive steel, tubes made from pearlitic steel. The carried out research of the properties of the welded joints facing cladding of the repair welding demonstrated that the suggested technology ensured the required properties of the repaired welds, which were performed by one-sided welding procedure by pearlitic welding materials over a transition layer (argon arc welding with filler wires Sv-08GS и Sv-06).

Abashin M. I., Barzov A. A., Bochkarev S. V., Galinovsky A. L., Maslov B. G. — Ultrastream diagnostics to estimate weld quality

The research offers a new valuation method of weld quality data, particularly that of fracture toughness. This method is based on the influence of a fast sheet of water on the surface of the object under control. Geometry features of the formed hydropocket serve as informative criteria. The article presents some results of experiment, which allow to estimate homogeneity of the weld material. A high rank correlation between impact toughness of the weld material and the depth of the hydropocket formed as a result of the water sheet effect is also shown.

Titov N. V., Kolomeichenko A. V., Logachev V. N., Kravchenko I. N., Litovchenko N. N. — Hardness and wear resistance investigation of the machine work members’ strengthened by dip-transfer surfacing with cermet materials application

The results of researches of hardness and wear resistance of working bodies of machines, reinforced with the use of ceramic-metal materials in the form of pastes. The optimum composition of the paste, which will significantly increase the life of the working bodies of machines in operation. Work was supported by grant RFBR № 13-08-90737 "Investigation of the application of amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys with strengthening of the working bodies of the agricultural machinery" grant for the conduction of scientific-research and experimental-design works in the framework of implementation of the long-term target program "Development of agriculture and regulation of markets of agricultural products, raw materials and food in Orel on the 2013—2020".

Feklistov S. I., Ershov A. A. — Welding practices of the 03Kh16N9M2 steel cryogenic machinery pieces

Investigated properties sheet and wrought austenitic steel 03H16Ni9Mo2 and properties of welded joints for equipment operating in a wide temperature range from –196 °C to 600 °C. The mechanical properties of steel and its welded joints, as well as cyclic durability characteristics showed that a wide range of temperatures, they exceed the properties of the steel and its 12X18H10T welds. Developed technology of welding the body of cryogenic equipment in large thicknesses does not require heat treatment.

Ischenko A. A., Grishko V. P., Balash B. — Use of metal-polymers in combination with welding, surfacing and sputtering practices

The article describes the results of industrial repairs of different machine components using combined restoration techniques including polymeric materials application and sputtering, surfacing and welding techniques. Specifically we suggested an impregnation technology of the sprayed coating by dichtol. This procedure excludes under-film corrosion in the long run. One more example of the combination of welding and protection by polymeric materials demonstrates seam sealing in cases when repeated welding is impossible under conditions of fire safety. Hermetization by polymers of the cracked cast-iron frames forming junctions proved to be also an effective method. These junctions serve as elements to fasten a crack. A combination of the techniques described above also allowed to restore bearing matching sites on large shafts without demounting of the latter. Such combined technologies significantly simplify reconditioning and considerably reduce repair cost.
