Analysis of the crystallizable weld metal two-phase model hydrodynamic state. Feklistov S. I., Bazhenov V. V., Potapov N. N. P. 3—6.

An analysis analytical pattern of the crystallizable weld metal two-phase model hydrodynamic state is suggested and main mechanism of two-phase intercrystalline interlayers’ shift is determined.

Perspective aluminium-lithium alloy 1424 for welded constructions of the aerospace hardware products. Khokhlatova L. B., Lookin V. I., Kolobnev N. I. et al. P. P. 7—10.

Key features of the sheets from aluminium-lithium alloys are considered. The sheets and extruded sections no more than 10 mm thick from the alloys 1424 and 1420 are recommended for usage in structures in the “air hardening and artificial ageing” state. Air hardening may be used as intermediate heat treatment at component manufacturing from sheets and sections. findings of investigation of the welded joints production from the alloy 1424 sheets by mechanical argon-arc welding are covered.

Aluminum alloys 1370 and 1913 weldability features. Lookin V. I., Ioda Ye. N., Kolobnev N. I. et al. P. 10—13.

Research results of selecting adding materials and heat treatment conditions ensuring higher crack growth resistance and corrosion stability of the welded joints from the alloys 1913 and 1370 are covered. It is established that welded joints’ heat treatment (hardening and artificial ageing) ensures diminution of the residual stress level, hardening up to 0,8 and 0,95 of the main material strength and high resistance to corrosive attack.

Development of the structural titanium alloys for the aerospace hardware components and assembly units production. Khorev A. I. P. 13—23.

Development of theory and up-to-date titanium alloys industrial uptake practice are described. Examples of titanium alloys application in such flying vehicles as rockets for different purposes, spacecraft, maneuver and sporting airplanes are given.

Composite metal materials’ structure and physical properties changes in magnetic field. Rekus V. G. P. 23—26.

Research results of the external magnetic fields effect on physical-mechanical and physicochemical properties of the welded joints of homogeneous and heterogeneous single-component and multicomponent metal systems are given. General law of the magnetic field effect on the welded joints’ quality and performance property are established, as well as intensity optimum range and magnetic field induction, at which simultaneous increase of joints’ strength and plasticity up to the grade and higher the parent metal behaviour are achieved.

Effect of the base ultrasonic machining on the covering formation at detonation spraying. Klimenov V. A., Ulyanitsky V. Yu., Kovalevskaya Zh. G. et al. P. 27—31.

Adhesion features of covering, obtained by using nickel, chromium and molybdenum powders and an alloy of the Ni-Cr-B-Si system, formed by detonation spraying on the steel base with different surface morphology are analyzed. It is shown that ultrasonic machining creates on the base surface corrugated submicrorelief which enables formation of a reliable adhesive bond between covering and base. Ultrasonic finishing is recommended as a surface preparation method before detonating deposition.

Electrode metal melting and transfer control mode (A Review). Krampit N. Yu. P. 31—36.

The review covers electrode metal melting and transfer control modes from the point of view of control action on the processes in the welding arc. The following manners are singled out: continuous, pulsed, and combined. Отмечена efficiency of the pulse welding practice is marked out as its application results in creating most favourable conditions for the electrode metal melting and transfer active control, this improve welding in various attitude positions and ensures obtaining welds with specified properties.

Root causes for the molten metal splashing at СО2-shielded arc welding. Ivannikov A. V. P. 37—40.

A new technique of wire feeding is developed for the carbon-dioxide-shielded machine arc welding, applying proper feeders with wire line contact to feed roller, as well as a flexible-hosed torch. Here principal causes of welding low stability, of increased electrode metal losses and welded products spattering, as well as faulty seam forming are excluded.

Container soldering: classification and terminology. Krasnopevtsev A. Yu. P. 40—42.

The author’s suggestions on classification and terminology of container soldering methods, particularly soldering in modified air medium are given. Heating methods, design, material and function of containers, container inner capacity isolation techniques, activity of the steam-and-gas atmosphere under control in the container, its chemical composition, etc. are regarded as classification approach.

Process features of adherence junctions’ formation at laser brazing. Allas A. A., Novosadov V. S. P. 43.

Possibility of forming an of adherence junction with increased strength properties applying laser brazing is studied. It is established that higher mechanical properties of joints at laser brazing are stipulated by intermetallide lack at the interphase boundaries and phase dispersibility increase, registered in the gap at crystallization.

Composite braze for ceramics brazing. Shibalov M. V., Portnova G. F., Kufaykin A. Ya. P. 44.

Application results of brazing techniques by active composite braze without surface metallization of the ceramics 22XC to kovar 29НК and steel are covered.
