Rymkevich A. I., Potapov N. N., Roschin M. B. — Effect of the flux chemical activity on the added metal properties at electroslag welding and electroslag remelting

It has been studied how flux’s chemical activism influences on properties of melted metal Mn—Ni—Mo—V steels, produced by methods of electroslag welding and overmeiting. It was demonstrated, that with increasing chemical activism of flux by enlarging the share of silica in it until 16—24 % (flax ФЦ-21), in the remelted metal increases the share of easily deformable nonmetallic oxide inclusions and rises the share of zones with reduced hardness in it’s structure. It brings the increasing of plasticity and strain capability during the relaxation process of welding stresses, provides of required mechanical properties of welded joints after final heat treatment and obviates danger of cracks through reheating in the welded joints performed by electroslag weld.

Kovtunov A. I., Myamin S. V., Chermashentseva T. V. — Study of the steel wetting processes by aluminium at layered composites making

It is established that high values of the steel wetting force by aluminium at layered composites formation by liquid-phase impregnation are observed at surface activation by the fluxes based on the eutectic of the KF—AlF3 system and on K2TiF6, K2ZrF6. At the same time aluminium-steel cohesive resistance depends on the activating flux composition and on the formation process temperature.

Volobuyev Yu. S., Volobuyev O. S., Parkhomenko A. G., Dobrolezha Ye. I., Klimenchook O. S. — Application of the new ceramic general-purpose flux COM-101 at welded beams fabrication

A composition of new ceramic general-purpose flux is developed to weld carbon steel. The flux is not inclined to hydration, has low relative chemical activity with respect to deposited metal, ensures minimal oxidation of the alloying componentry and spontaneous separation of the slag crust immediately as-welded, that does not need carrying out laborious work of dross removal from the surface of a weld. The flux ensures smooth fusion with the edges of the welded parts and absence of prohibitive defects in the weld metal.

Gulakov S. V., Burlaka V. V. — Electrode oscillation device of a welding deposition unit

A drive construction of an electrode travel for deposit welding of machinery and tools working surfaces by beads of irregular shape is given. The drive gear is carried out as a modification of a crank gear in which the length of the connecting rod may be automatically adjusted by special linear drive unit of the screw-and-nut type adhering to the subsidiary drive power minimum condition.

Kouznechik O. O., Belyavin K. Ye., Sarayev Yu. N. — Adaptive control of the self-fluxing prealloyed powder electrocontact surfacing

Adaptive control system function chart and capability are covered. The system ensures thermal behaviour stabilization and duration optimization of the electrocontact surfacing. By the example of powder electrocontact surfacing of the self-fluxing alloys ПР-Х4Г2Р4С2Ф and ПГ-CP4 it is shown that usage of such system during the coating process favours added material structure stabilization, its higher wear-resistance and reduces crazing occurrence probability in it.
