Shatalov V. K., Korzhavy A. P., Lysenko L. V., Mikhaylov V. I., Blatov A. A. — Increasing the strength of welding deposit from titanium alloy rods, treated by microarc oxidation

Surface treatment by welding made layers of high hardness is an effective way of increasing lifetime of products working in marine or other aggressive environment under conditions of abrasion. An example of a material widely used for surfacing wire is PT-7M alloy enriched with oxygen as a result of thermal oxidation. Oxygen enrichment of titanium alloys is often done by coating of surfacing wire by a stable oxide layer. The method includes more than ten technological steps, is energy, time and labor demanding. Cleaned of scale wire is further treated by annealing in vacuum to remove hydrogen. The discussed method — micro-arc oxidation (MAO) — is based on anode oxidation in electrolytic solutions at high potentials causing micro-plasma breakdowns at anode. Experiments confirmed benefits of MAO method. Metal layer deposited by argon arc welding using a non-consumable electrode with micro-arc oxidation method treated filler wire satisfied the technical requirements for structure, quality and hardness. In contrast to thermal oxidation, MAO does not increase concentration of hydrogen in the wire, eliminating the vacuum degassing, quenching in water and subsequent mechanical after-treatment. MAO allows achieving a considerably higher production rate in comparison with thermal oxidation. Results of mechanical tests confirm that MDO-treated doping considerably increases strength of the built-up layer up to 1576 MPa and provides pronounced plasticity.

Researches of influence of parameters of friction welding with mixing aluminum-lithium alloys 1461 and 1469-on surface roughness and mechanical properties of the weld joints. As a generic parameter regime used the coefficient of heat input, as determined by the ratio of the speed rotation tool to the welding speed. Running optimum region of STF sheets of alloys, which provides better surface finish weld after weld and products (necessary to improve fatigue characteristics and quality of protective coatings), absence of defects, and the strength of the weld at the level of 0.75—0.85 from the strength of the base material. For welded joints with low surface roughness of the seam (Rz ≤ 40 μm) can significantly improve fatigue characteristics of welded joints (LCF more than 300 thousand cycles without failure).

The brazing metodology of the ceramic based on zirconium dioxide with alloy 29 NK through the use of amorphous band solder STEMET 1202 is developed. The solder wetting capacity relating to ceramic has been evaluated. Structural-phase researches and mechanical tests on the shear were carried out; micro-hardness of solder joints has been measured. According to the researches results the optimum soldering temperature ceramics with alloy 29 NК is selected.

Voronin N. N., Seydakhmetov N. B., Rezanov V. A. — The development of the arcing combined method when welding rails

The article shows that for jointless rail way obtaining the railing is interconnected to the length through the use of welding. The main feature is that the rail steels are a group of badly welded materials, and their requirements are very high because of the safety of trains. Currently, there are multiplicity rail welding methods, but all of them have limitations. For the mechanical properties increasing and improve the metal structure improving in the joint area is proposed to use a combination of two butt-fusion welding techniques — pulsed and continuous.

Ganzales L. F., Shiganov I. N. — Optimization of the wearproof coating from stellite on the steel by using a laser radiation

The article describes methods of optimization of powder laser cladding parameters with Stellite 6 material on the surface of steel AISI 4340. The technology is examined to coat shafts of power equipment, manufactured from the aforementioned steel. Optimization was performed by two methods: 1) experimentally-selective method and 2) processing of experimental results based on statistical models. It is shown that the experimentally-selective method allows some of the most optimal modes to be selected, which provide the greatest resistance to wear. Processing of experimental results based on statistical models allowed the dependence of the geometrical parameters of the roller on cladding modes to be obtained.
