Meyster R. A., Padar V. A., Meyster A. R., Bayandina O. V., Vatslavskiy E. S. — CO2-shielded welding in the straight polarity

When arc feeding from a single phase rectifier with capacitor voltage multiplier and throttle inductance of 1,2 mH, ensured the seams formation is provided with wires of 0,8 and 1,2 mm and current of 12 A and more on straight polarity in carbon dioxide. At current below 50 A the melting coefficient increases and the difference in the melting rate on the straight polarity as compared with the feedback is reduced. Judging by filmograms and oscillograms, transfer with large size drops is not accompanied by displacement drops from the electrode axis and increased spraying.

Zhemanyuk P. D., Petrik I. A., Ovchinnikov A. V., Seliverstov A. G. — Influence of the welding manner on the welded joints structure and mechanical properties of the heat resistant titanium alloys with different initial structural state

In this work questions about welding of rotor parts made of heatproof titanium alloys are examined. Comparative research of fusion and rotor friction weldings influences on structure and properties of welding joints have been carried out. It is shown, that friction welding occurs in solid phase with tempered structure creation. Welding joints which have been obtained by friction welding have structure of alloying zone close to basic material and almost have no heat-affected zone. It is established that welding with such options, gave us ultimate strength of welded samples not less than parent metal.

Babinets A. A., Ryabtsev I. A. — The fatigue life of multiple-beaded samples

The samples design and methods of fatigue life experimental evaluation of a multiple-bead deposit metal under cyclic mechanical loading. For test three-point bending scheme was chosen with cyclic loading from zero on the sample center, which with certain assumptions reproduces power loads that are typical to mill rolls, rollers for continuous casting machines and other tools, accessories and equipment for metals and alloys hot deformation that in operation are subjected to simultaneous action cyclic thermal and mechanical loads. Through the use of the developed methodology the durability of samples from steel 40X, overlaying welding using a flux-cored wire PP-Hp-25X5FMS with and without plastic sublayer is investigated. For sublayer overlaying welding used solid wire Sv-08A or flux-cored wire PP-Hp-12X1MF. It is established that the plastic sublayer overlaying welding using a wire Sv-08A and PP-Hp-12XlMF increases the fatigue life of overlaying welding samples of 1.3 and 1.6 times, respectively. The wire PP-Hp-12X1MF providing receipt overlaying welding metal with higher mechanical properties compared to wire Sv-08A, provides higher fatigue life of the multilayer overlaying welding specimens.

PRODUCTION SECTION

Royanov V. A., Bobikov V. I. — Facility fbr arc spray with a pulsating mode outflow of the air — pulverizing stream

On the grounds of literature review is established, that the applied electroarc metallizing have a high consumption of compressed air. During sputtering occurs the intensive influence of the pulverizing air jet on the liquid metal of the melted electrode ends, which leads to significant burning of alloying elements. The degree of the oxidation reaction depends on the heat resistance of the pulverized material, particles dispersion, the oxygen affinity of the components, the technological parameters of the coating process.
In order to reduce the oxidative influence is proposed to use a pulsating air-pulverizing jet. To solve this problem it was necessary to develop an appropriate device to a stationary electroarc metallizing EM-17, providing a pulsating mode outflow air-pulverizing jet in the range 9—130 Hz. It is established, that the pulverizing jet has the pulsate shape with a temporal intervals.
Through the use of a circular cross section pulse has gradually increasing form. Through the use of a rectangular flow section made it possible to get more steeply increasing pulse shape.
The obtained research results are evidence of a oxidizing influence reduction of the air-pulverizing jet. It is established, that the optimum frequencies that improve the properties of the coating are 40—80 Hz.

Chigarev V. V., Shchetinina V. I., Chthetinin S. V. — Magnetic field at arc welding

It is established, that when welding a longitudinal magnetic field of the two plates welding current transform to one plate field, which supports an electromagnetic nature interatomic bonding forces. When a gap is 0,002 m the longitudinal magnetic field induction of the welding current sharply increases as a result of force limes thrust. Under the induction action the arc rotates, the electromagnetic force and the magnetic pressure, directed forward and to lateral edges of the bath, arise that provides the movement of the liquid metal to the front part of the crater and to the side edges, forming seams without undercutting and confirms electromagnetic nature undercut formation with one-sided high-speed welding.
A method of one-sided high-speed welding by composite electrode on the melt backing with gap of 0,002 m is developed, which provides increase of the process stability, of the electromagnetic forces directed forward and to the side edges of the bath and quality and toughness of welded joints.
