Melnikov P. V., Startsev V. N., Gezha V. V., Markova Yu. M. — The formation features of welded joints at vertical laser-arc welding of low-alloy steels

In this article, the technology features of vertical laser-arc welding of large-sized structures made of high-strength low-alloy steel with alternating gap with large root face are considered. The regime parameters of vertical laser-arc welding of the root run of low-alloy steel 30—40 mm thick with 10 mm root face (welding speed, amplitude and frequency of transverse oscillations, welding current, arc voltage, laser power) enabling to formation of a quality welded joint are established. It is established that the laser radiation power required to ensure through fusion penetration of root face depends on the thickness of the base metal: for a metal thickness of 14—30 mm, 3,8 kW is sufficient, for a thickness of 40 mm, not less than 4,6 kW for fusion penetration to a depth of 5 mm. Welded joints have a finely dispersed needle structure of a martensitic-bainite type. The results obtained allow to create a welding technology for low-alloy steels with various thicknesses through the use of robotics means.

Pushkin M. S., Inozemtsev A. V., Grinberg B. A., Patselov A. M., Ivanov M. A., Slautin O. V., Besshaposhnikov Yu. P. — The relief of the interface during explosion welding of homogeneous materials

The paper studied the microstructure evolution of the separation surface in case of an intensified explosive welding mode for copper — cupronickel joints simulating the homogenous copper — copper pair. Typical structures of wavy separation surface were obtained. Comparison was carried out with the features of the separation surface relief for such joints as Cu-Ta, Cu-Ti and titanium — orthorhombic titan aluminide. Some nonuniformities are observed on the separation surface: cusps, local melted zones, groups of cusps that make the separation surface imperfect, leading to its ramification, intersection and merging of strips. Near the flat separation surface (slightly above it), a quasiwave surface has been discovered that contains sections of bands and nearly round islands that used to belong to the bands. As regards the copper — cupronickel joints, some large-scale unfinished rotations (macro-rotations) in the solid phase were observed.

Lukin V. I., Betsofen S. Ya., Panteleev M. D., Dolgova M. I. — Influence of the thermodeformation cycle of the FSW on the structure formation of the welded joint of the B-1469 alloy

The phase composition research of the welded joint various zones of a high-strength aluminum-lithium alloy V-1469 obtained by friction stir welding (FSW) was carried out. As the researches result, it was found that quantitative phase analysis is sensitive to structural features at FSW. It is established that in the transition region between the zones of thermomechanical and thermal influence, the effect of reducing the hardness is due to a reduced content of the T1 phase, which is the most effective reinforcer for this alloy.

Kopaev B. V., Andreeva L. P. — The plastic deformation investigation of the overlap joint from low-carbon steel brazed by tin

The plastic shear deformation in a brazed seam of a overlap joint from low-carbon steel St3 was studied experimentally by the grid method. It is established that the distribution of plastic deformation in a brazed seam depends on the length of the overlap. The obtained regularities of the plastic deformation distribution are observed in soldered joints with a thickness of 0,8 ± 0,8; 4 + 4 mm and 0,8 + 4 mm.

Kozyrev N. А., Kibko N. V., Umanskiy А. А., Titov D А., Sokolov P. D. — Improving the quality of the rolling rolls layer deposit by improving the composition of flux-cored wires

An experimental investigation were carried out for the influence elucidating of the alloying with systems C-Si-Mn-Cr-W-V and C-Si-Mn-Cr-V-Mo added to flux-cored wires used for welding deposit of the carbon-fluorine additive (metallurgical production waste) and powdered nickel on rolls. It is shown that the introduction of the indicated materials in the charge composition used for the manufacture of wires marks 35V9Х3СF and 25Х5FМС promotes helps to improve a number of the deposited layer characteristics: reducing of the pollution level with non-metallic inclusions; increasing of the deposited layer surface hardness; crushing of the austenite grain and the formation of fine-dispersed carbides. In practice this may promotes increasing of the rolls thermal steadfastness of the rolls and the ferrite mesh elimination that can have a positive effect on the fracture strength. The conducted studies allowed developing of new, flux-cored wires composition for rolls welding deposit, protected through the RF patents. Flux-cored wires composition for rolls welding deposit. Technology of the rolls welding deposit through the use of the proposed flux-cored wires with alloying systems C-Si-Mn-Cr-W-V and C-Si-Mn-Cr-V-Mo is introduced into production by Ltd "ElSib".

Shneepson V. Ya. — Some features of the layer formation at the fusion penetration of inclined plates by an electron beam

The paper determines certain peculiarities of formation of a penetrated sheet plates from low carbon steel, aluminum and titanium with an electronic beam, with continuous changing of distance between the focal plane and the specimen plane. It is demonstrated that the results obtained correspond to the main peculiarities of a layer formation when penetrating plates with plasma arc. However, continuous changing of the distance causes transiency of the melting process, continuous change of thermal efficiency of the process, change of the penetrated layer geometric characteristics, and transformation of the layer formation modes from the normal formation mode to the mode of periodic burn through formation.
