Fedorchuk V. E. — Special features of microstructure and chemical inhomogeneity formation in welds of the alloys of B96 (V96) type when alloying them by scandium

The article discusses the features of microstructure formation and development of the chemical inhomogeneity in the weld metal and heat affected zone during arc welding of high strength alloys system Al—Zn—Mg—Cu. It is shown that under the influence of welding heat in the HAZ occurs the partially melting of structural components and the formation of interlayer from eutectic phases along the boundaries of recrystallized grains, which leads to embrittlement of the metal. The presence of scandium into alloy makes it possible to reduce the recrystallization process and the degree of liquation at the boundaries of grains and to avoid the formation of coarse eutectic layers.

Kolmakov V. P., Grechneva M. V., Potapov V. V., Chebotnyagin L. M. — Pipe — lattice jointing upgrading when conductor electrical explosion energy welding

A mathematical model has been proposed to study how the parameters of welding due to the energy of the electric explosion of a wire affect the quality and reliability of a tube-to-a-tube sheet welded connection. A possibility is considered to control the collision parameters by varying the configuration of the tube sheet’s hollows, and by the parameters of the electric power supply. An effective way to improve the quality of the welded connection is a combined double-conic configuration of the hollows in the tube sheet.

Grigoryants A. G., Tretyakov R. S., Shiganov I. N., Stavertiy A. Ya. — Nozzle shape optimization for laser coaxial surfacing

Presents the results of mathematical modeling of powder flow in the nozzles for coaxial laser cladding. On the basis of simulation developed optimal geometrical parameters of the nozzle, which are used to create of related equipment. Determined by calculation the optimal flow values powder flow rate, their size, the flow geometry and the distance from the nozzle to the surface of the workpieces. The values obtained were the basis of the development process cladding with the powders of different composition.

Matafonov A. A., Grechneva M. V., Bychinsky V. A. — Burning-off process modelling of the welding electrodes obtained using mineral raw materials from Eastern Siberia

We consider the process of phase formation of a heterogeneous system "gas — slag — metal" in the case of the electrode ANP-13 with replacement of traditional components on local mineral resources. Defined chemical compounds and component on which physico-chemical model established. Has been chosen the possible compounds that are formed during the process and the conditions of the process. Conducted experimental comparative tests surfacing electrodes, coatings have been obtained through the use of components of mineral resources in Eastern Siberia, with serial electrodes brand ANP-13. It is shown that the mechanical properties and wear surfaces of bearing shell, experienced weld electrodes meet technical standards for welding and cladding for repair of freight cars, as well as satisfy the requirements imposed on the ANP-13 electrodes.

Kobernik N. V., Mikheyev R. S., Kremlev S. S. — Babbitt alloys plasma-powder surfacing

The article considers techniques of Babbitt coatings obtainment and discloses basic causes, decreasing service properties of the Babbitt alloys. Experimental investigation showed that application of the plasma-powder surfacing was perspective for obtaining coatings from Babbitt alloys. Wear resistance of the surfaced coats is higher than that of a cast Babbitt баббита, under conservation of the friction factor.

Stolin A. M., Bazhin P. M., Mikheyev M. V., Averichev O. A., Saguidollayev A. S., Kylyshbayev K. T. — Protective coating deposition by electroarc surfacing using SVS(SPHTS)-electrodes

We obtained coating by electroarc surfacing using SVS-electrodes (self-propagating high-temperature synthesis — SPHTS) on the basis of titanium-carbide hard alloy with cobalt binder. It was established that built-up layer had three characteristic areas, which consisted of titanium carbide grains, located in the iron–cobalt matrix. The content of TiC grains in the coat is up to 80 per cent. Hardness of the built-up layer was 56...58 HRC. Full-scale test of the weld areas on jaw breaker in the zones of maximum load application showed that wear rate of the built-up layer is 1,7—2 times lower as compared to wear rate of the lining from steel 40Х (40Kh).
