In the work the concept of performing research to improve the reliability of metal structures intended for operation in conditions of low climatic temperatures. Analyzed global trends in the study of the processes of deformation and fracture of materials and products in conditions of low climatic temperatures. Formed the main methodological approaches to ensuring high operational reliability of the structures of low-carbon low-alloy steels. Analyzed previous experimental data. Directions of experimental and theoretical studies.

Sidorov V. P., Abramova М. А. — The dependence of the electrode melting intensity at welding in CO2 from electrode extension

The analysis of data on change of speeds of fusion and tension when welding is provided in CO2 at change of a departure of an electrode. Dependences of average resistance of single length of a departure, an increment of coefficient of fusion and tension of an arch on diameter of an electrode wire are defined. The corresponding approximating dependences are received. Average value of coefficient of fusion in an arch of the return polarity at a zero departure is established.

Novokreshchenov V. V., Rodyakina R. V., Lastovirya V. N. — Effect of high temperature annealing on the welded joints structure and properties stability of the tungsten monocrystals with flat and axial geometry

The results of experimental studies of the effect of high temperature treatment on the stability of the substructure, crystallography and mechanical properties of welded joints of single crystals of tungsten and axial planar geometry are shown. The main research problem was to obtain data about the possibility of creating mono-faceted tubes of tungsten single crystals with a stable substructure (ρ = 105—106 cm–2), allowable disorientation angles for sub-boundaries (θ < 3°) in the central part of the weld and strength characteristics (flexural strength of weld metal must be greater or equal than strength of base metal). The products of such mono-faceted tubes of tungsten single crystals can be used at working temperatures up to 2500 °C.
There were offered and described two technological schemes of obtaining such tubes with the desired uniform orientation of the side (working) surface from the tungsten single crystal’s ingot.

Proposed process pressure welding pipes in hot local sediment and the ratio to calculate the modes of technology. We used the equation of state of the material at the plasticity and creep. Apply pressure energy calculation method for discontinuous axisymmetric field movement speeds.

The paper shows the possibility to efficiently diagnose of hidden defects and to record field parameters of residual welding stresses via a non-contact thermal method at external thermal influence on the diagnosed surface.

Mingachev D. I., Platov D. V., Mikheev R. S., Kobernik N. V. — Features of the backing strap application for a "root" layer forming of the welded joints seam

The results of the study root pass formation in different positions with using the fiberglass weld backing tape as forming removable devices were discussed. The technological parameters of welding and techniques allowed getting a quality weld and preventing the formation of unacceptable defects.

Zlokazov М. V., Korotkov V. А. — Influence of current for manual plasma hardening on the depth and hardness of the stamping tool hardened layer

The speed increase of the arc movement (40—65 %), necessary for the surface melting warning as the current increases, does not affect significantly to the depth and hardness of hardened strips at manual plasma surface hardening of the die steels U8A, 7X3, 5XNM and 5XB2S through the use of serial installation UDG3-200. But as the current increases from 100 to 200 A occurs accompanying hardened strips with increase (from about 14 mm to about 24 mm) which stops at currents over 200 A. Increasing of the steel thermal conductivity is accompanied by a hardening depth increasing up to 0.9 mm. Application of surface grinding instead of milling for quenching (Ra 2,А and Ra 6,3, respectively), yields a minor (less than 5 %) increase in depth of hardening. In general, manual plasma quenching technology according to passport for the installation of UDG3-200 provides a constant thickness and hardness of the hardened layer on the die steel and high performance stamping tools.

The specific example of the multi-point welding machine modernization for the manufacture of grids in terms of quality indicators implementation is considered. The necessary calculations for the design of the machine components and systems through the use of the existing parts are fulfiled.
The results of machine construction and utilization are adduced.

Arc spraying diesel engine cylinder liner inserts non-ferrous metals, which allows to improve the lubricating properties of the friction surface, as evidenced by a decrease in the rate of wear is the most promising way to increase the wear resistance of the part.

Volkov S. S., Bigus G. А. — Technology and equipment for ultrasonic contour welding of the products made of ABS-plastic

It is shown that as the sonotrode for contour ultrasonic welding of ABS plastics is the most optimal sonotrode with mushroom shape.
Was determined the optimal form of the working end of the contour sonotrode, which provides fixation of connected products relative to the axis of the sonotrode at their outer contur.
