Shell material for the discharge high-pressure lamps: Sapphire. Gavrish S. V., Loguinov V. V. P. 5—9.

A new material — monocrystalline aluminium oxide (sapphire), which is used as a discharge lamp shell, is under consideration in the article. Advantages of the sapphire are shown, such factors as imperfection of a crystal, its machining and heat treatment, determining its optical transmission, radioimmunity, ultraviolet radiation resistance and critical electrical load per discharge tube surface unit are covered.

Heat treatment effect on the welds' structure and properties of pressed-and-welded components from steel 10F2OBK). Botvinnikov A. Yu., Neifeld O. I., Yefimenko L. A., Kapoostin O.Ye. P. 10—12.

Research results of the welding procedure and afterbaking effect on the structure and properties of the welded tee-joints from the steel 10T2OEK) are given.

Analysis of the standard constructions' shapes and of cut process flowsheets of the rotary bodies. Tarasov A. B., Tara-sovS. A. P. 13—18.

Cut process flowsheets of the axisymmetric turned constructions, consisting of three figures, are described. Weight and moment errors calculation formulae taking into account dimensional accuracy of each figure, constituent of the axisymmetric construction, are considered. It is established that choice of the constructions' shapes must ensure conditions under which inertia moment values' spread is minimal.

Study of the vibroacoustic radiation at hard turning. Rogov V. A., Kozochkin M. P., Popikov A. N. P. 18—21.

Research results of vibroacoustic signal at rigid turning at the moment of penetration into the workpiece and further processing are given, as well as of surface roughness changes depending on the material used and on the construction of the support blade in the fastener assembly of the cutter plate.

Effectiveness increase of the abrasive band grinding process. Guinergart O. Yu., Popov A. Yu. P. 21—22.

Abrasive-band grind process advantages and special features of the turbine blades from the heat-resistant and titanium alloys are covered. Recommendations are given on the abrasive band dressing by blunted granular surface layer fracture forming sharp edges. A special facility allowing for abrasive band dressing and reusing is offered to improve cutting power of the abrasive belt.

Electroarc surface process of the tool steel for burnishers. Gurevich Yu. G., Marfitsyn V. V. P. 23—25.

Steel parts electroarc surface process by white iron layer application on their surface using contact building-up, allowing for forming tight, porousless antiwear coating is considered.

Linear friction welding. Shtrikman M. M. P. 26—31.

Basic stages of joint formation by linear friction welding (LFW) are considered. Foreign authors' working data on LFW equipment designing, on studying conditions of qualitative joining obtaining and LFW process industrial application examples at welding design production, mainly at air engine blades, are described.

Magnetoimpulse driven percussion electrostatic welding. Strizhakov Ye. L., Neskromny S. V., Merkulov R. V. P. 32—34.

An essentially new shot welding practice using magnetic pressure as forging force is suggested. This allows for warming-up and severe deformation of the jointed surfaces. The essence of the process and its advantages are described; research results are covered.

Combined application of the low-frequency vibration and vortex cavitations in liquid containing nanoabrasive powders at machine components turboabrasive machining. Ivanaysky A. V., Ivanaysky V. A., Koval Yu. I. P. 35—36.

A Process of machine components turboabrasive machining in cavitating lubricoolant containing abrasive granular, allowing for eliminating dusting possibility due to seal upset of the pneumatic turboabrasive plants when in operating process is described, as well as for improving parts' quality and for processing ecological compatibility increase.

Welds' high-temperature stability of the steampipe with imperfection in weld metal. Part 1: Test results of the faulty samples. Khromchenko F. A., Fedoseyenko A. V. P. 44—46.

It is established that standard durability of the welds from steel 12X1ÌÔ at 545°C for expected base of 105—3 • 105 hours is ensured in case maximal depth of technological defect is limited by 4 mm in the weld metal 09X1ÌÔ.

Digital joint tracking system on the CCD bar at arc welding. Gladkov E. A., Perkovsky R. A., Nevkhorov V. A., et al. P. 47—51.

Principle of operation and features of the digital joint tracking system using charge-coupled device (CCD) are described, as well as results of system test and range of application at other welding processes.

Nanocomplexes formation on the base of structural information technology and integrated computer-aided systems. Vyacheslavova O. F., Usov S. V., Sviridenko D. S. P. 52—56.

Formation methodology of structural information technologies and automation systems on the base of cluster-and- fractal concept to model nanosystems and nanocomplexes at creating aerospace machinery and hardware for nuclear and medical industries, etc. is covered.
